Today was Meghan Markle’s first official appearance alongside Prince Harry for the firm. By all measures, she handled it like a pro!
For their first engagement together, they visited with various AIDS related charitable organizations in Nottingham to mark World AIDS Day. It was smart of them to play into her activist background and get her engaged with Harry’s work in this specific area. Like his mother before him, Harry has focused a good deal on HIV/AIDS issues and I imagine Meghan will be joining him in those efforts now.
But the clothes! She looks great. The coat is from Canadian brand Mackage, the skirt from British retailer Joseph, the turtleneck from Wolford, the bag by Strathberry for Saks, and the shoes from Kurt Geiger. And of course, all of it is sold out.
I like this slouchy 70’s vibe on her. It’s relaxed and classic. A safe and respectable choice for her first outing. A few folks pointed out that the handbag ended up being a bit unwieldy, which is probably why we usually see Kate with a clutch.
Harry and Meghan were also adorably very affectionate with each other- something Kate and Will tend to avoid.
