Friends, I almost fell out of my chair when I saw these pictures.
Yesterday, Queen Elizabeth made a surprise visit to London Fashion Week, sitting alongside Fashion Queen Anna Wintour. This was the 91-year-old monarchs first visit to London Fashion Week, and likely her first attendance at a runway show!
Her Majesty was in attendance to award the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design to up and coming designer Richard Quinn. Quinn is a recent graduate of Central Saint Martins, London’s renowned design school, and was presenting his second collection. His show was full of beautiful English countryside florals, many of which I could easily see on the Queen herself.

For the occasion, the Queen didn’t step far from her sartorial comfort zone, wearing a custom baby blue tweed skirt suit designed by her longtime dressmaker Angela Kelly.
