Awards season has me unconscionably behind on Kate’s outings, particularly since this week she and Will went on an official Royal Tour to Sweden and Norway. Let’s see what Kate has been up to in January first though, but stay tuned for the Nordic trip coverage next week!
January 7th – Epiphany Services at Sandringham
It’s a royal family tradition to walk from Sandringham, the Queen’s private residence, to the nearby church for Christmas Services (which we covered here). In this second Christmas season outing, Kate opted for re-wearing a Moloh coat with fur trimmed gloves and hat, paired with a Chanel bag and Tod’s shoes that she debuted on their official trip to Paris last year. I covet that hat, but am unsure it would have the same regal effect if I wore it while riding SEPTA or walking around Philly.
January 8th – Princess Charlotte goes to nursery school!
Kensington Palace released these two new official pictures of Princess Charlotte on her first day of nursery school. They were taken by Kate, and they really show her personality in a way we haven’t seen yet. She’s absolutely adorable and I’m not going to lie, I would wear this outfit.
January 10th – Kate visits Place2Be School
On the 10th, Kate visited one of the partner schools for Place2Be, which provides in-school mental health support for kids. She’s wearing a new coat from Hobbs London, one of her go-to designers. The shoes are Jimmy Choo and the clutch is Stuart Weitzman.
Under her coat, she re-wore a Seraphine floral print maternity dress which I love. It’s also pretty affordable for any of the pregnant ladies out there!
January 16th – Will and Kate visit Coventry
The duo visited Coventry in the West Midlands, England’s 9th largest city, and well known for its 14th Century Cathedral. It was recently named the 2021 UK City of Culture, an initiative which aims to increase social and economic benefits for the area. I love this pink Mulberry coat, which she re-wears often. It’s paired with a Mulberry clutch and Tod’s shoes.
January 17th – Kate visits Ormond Street Hospital and Bond Primary School
It was a double header for Kate on the 17th, with a hospital visit to open a new children’s medical center and a chance to get sporty and play tennis with some kids as part of the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Initiative.
For her visit to Ormond Street, she wore a red Boden coat with frilled trim. I’ve always heard great things about Boden, but have never bought anything from them. They’re currently having a 70% off clearance sale though, so that’s probably how I’ll be spending my Sunday!
It’s always nice when Kate get’s to be sporty – she really seems to enjoy those engagements. I don’t have much to say about this outfit, except that being five months pregnant, she must be thrilled to be able to wear sweatpants for once.
January 23rd – Kate launches a new Heads Together Program
Kate was on hand to launch a new program as part of her, Will, and Harry’s children’s mental health initiative, Heads Together. She’s wearing a cornflower blue Sportmax coat with a Beulah London scarf that I adore.
Underneath was another Seraphine materinty dress, this time custom made.
Nothing terribly exciting this month – a lot of re-wears, but she deployed some great accessories from her fur turban to her floral scarf. Next up is their royal visit to Norway and Sweden, where Kate brought out some big couture guns!
As always, major thanks to WhatKateWore for designer ID’s!
