Sunday’s Critics’ Choice Awards further muddied the awards season waters. Glen Close tied with Lady Gaga for Best Actress, while “Roma” beat out “Green Book” after a weeks worth of bad press. There were few surprises on the red carpet though with no one taking too many risks and everyone looking pretty chic.

A less anatomical way to describe it would be “sculptural”, which is exactly how Giorgio Armani defined his Fall 2018 collection, which was one of my all time favorites. That collection also gave us Glenn Close’s cape from last week and Cate Blanchett’s “Madame X” moment from Cannes. I love this but wish her hair was more sleek and less beachy.
